Este increíble estudio de animación fue fundado en 1987 por Mitsuhisa Ishikawa y Takayuki Goto de donde vienen las iniciales I. G. y desde entonces han participado en el desarrollo y producción de teatro, televisión y animación. Han creado videojuegos y gráficos de ordenador, además de gestionar talento y lanzar al ámbito internacional sus títulos.

Tienen una impresionante presencia en el mercado, encontrándose afiliado a XEBEC Inc., Mag Garden Corporation, Wit Studio, Signal MD y su rama en américa con Production I. G., LLC (Los Ángeles, CA).

La animación de Production I.G. destaca por el nivel de detalle en rasgos físicos y el ambiente, los puntos de luz en el rostro de sus personajes proyectan emociones de manera natural.
